The National EB-5 Investment Boot Camp Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in Los Angeles, is attracting commercial real estate developers, hotel executives, attorneys and financial professionals to Los Angeles to explore alternative finance through EB-5 regional center program. The Immigrant Investor Program, also known as EB-5, was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by immigrant investors by creating a new commercial enterprise or investing in a troubled business. In exchange, high net worth overseas investors get an available and expedient green card alternative. More than $ 3 billion has been invested into American enterprises through EB-5 over the past five years, tens of thousands of American jobs have been created. To date, many commercial real estate projects around the country, such as resorts, hotels, office towers, shopping centers, nursing and assisted living facilities, have been funded by EB-5 investment.
