From interactive natural history to free textbooks and online DNA, Education-Portal.com's 2011 First Annual OpenCourseWare People's Choice Awards honored the best OpenCourseWare initiatives. Over the past week, we awarded and profiled each winner and the finalists on the Education-Portal.com's Education Insider. The OCW Peoples Choice Awards was a fantastic way to spread the word about the free online courseware from top universities that's available to all students. Education-Portal.com believes that OCW and the Open Education Movement is the future of higher learning and the key to making education accessible.
